Cards.....

Ok, this is what I have been up to!! I have finally got to the point that people are asking me to make cards for them. This is very special to me because i love to do this!! Do I love every card I make, nope but that is what keeps me going!! I can do better. Do I follow to many blogs, some would say yes, but I say nope just a lot of ideas that get stored for later use!!

This is one that is not my best, but I made it after some sympathy and others, so I had trouble switching gears to baby!!
Plain, but nice, and in the inside is a stamp for an anniversary. I also made a matching envelope for this one.
Fun and bright! This just makes you smile, simple but fun!

Oh I was really happy with this wedding card. I had trouble at first! The order was for a mix of 10 cards and they gave me a list of what kinds they wanted. So when I got to the wedding, I was like I have no idea. I usually make the wedding cards to match the wedding. So I thought well blue is a good start and I love the way it turned out.

Sympathy cards, I find them a little on the hard side. You do not want them to over the top, nothing flashy, you just need to find that classy look. Thats the not the word I want but it is too late to figure it out. Any who, I find that if I go for an antique look, they work for me. Browns with a splash of color. I have an old hynm book that I use the pages of and then just build. I have never used lace, seen it done a ton, and I really like it. I have one further down the page that is very close to this one.

I like this one, simple with a little bling!!

Birthdays are sooo much fun! You can do anything!! I was able to do some invites for twin one year olds last week!! So much fun. I can not post a picture due to the info on the card (i want to be respectful of the parents!) But pink pink and ice cream ya!!

My other sympathy card.

This wedding card was for a couple that went to vegas for the wedding! This was from her coworkers so I had to make it big!!

Finally the moving pictures!!

After looking back at these photos, Im thinking I may have done a little too much cleaning for the new home owners, but oh well they moved into a clean house! The boys thought it was great when I have the stove apart cleaning under it! At least they were contained or entertained for a few minutes anyway!!

Im sure I was thinking one way ticket or C.O.D. to my parents!! They thought the boxes were great fun! They even colored on the outside of a few!!
We had to do a couple little silly things for the sale, and the front door was one of them! It never really opened and closed great so we replaced it and Scott had 2 of the best little helpers a man can have! The 30 minute job took well over an hour!! It was fun to watch!!

Sorry the picture is sideways, I forgot to edit these before I loaded them onto the external hard drive and having issues with fixing them. Im sure it is the operator not the device!! Anyway what is all over the floor you ask, well it is an entire box of bandaids of all different sizes and shapes! They had them on them, the walls and the floors even had a few boo boos!!

They would pack up toys and books, then unpack them play in the box, load it back up again and the game would start all over! Unpacking some boxes I found really random things and Im very sure that casper the friendly ghost had something to do with it, not these two!! I also think this is why it took me twice as long and I was a little afraid to ask for help from friends....it would have drove them nuts!! :)

Yep he had to show me his cooking skills in the middle of everything!! I think this picture was the masterpiece that included all spice, pountry seasooning, cinnimon, bread pieces and the stuff used to make play dough! And all my spoons and spatulas! Oh he was very proud of himself, one good thing, he used the entire bottle of each so a few less things for me to pack!

We have had enough packing mom!! I think this was the start of a mini protest!!

Yep the craftroom all packed up!! To this day Im not sure how I got all the "stuff" in my last craftroom! I must have magical powers because this new room is 3 times the size and it is over flowing! Oh well, it took my a few years to get the other one right, I'll give myself a few more weeks before I have another melt down!! :)

sunsets

I was just goofing around with the camera taking different pictures, well the truth is Im trying to prove to myself and husband that I need a little fancier camera! So far I think I am on the right track!! But boy do I need to save some pennies!! :)

This is from our front yard, I walked out and saw this and thought it was neat!

These are from the farm, out the back door!

I loved how the rain was pink, this one and the 2 above it are on the same night same time, the difference between east and west!!

The farm

Scott had to go to Wisconsin for work, so I took the boys to the farm! They had a great time! As you can see Tyson wiped out on the gravel and had some nice battle scares! Im sure he swallowed a few little pebbles in the action!
We took a drive to get some photos of the boys in the wheat feild and to check out the damage from a major hail storm that hit while we were visting.
Tyson is helping papa drive in the field! He looks so serious like he is doing a great job!!

He did not like the wheat much, the heads were right in his face! I have a few pictures that he is just flat made at the whole situation!
This is one of my new favorite pictures of Zane, he jumped out and ran right up to the wheat and stood still long enough for me to get this! I loved the way it turned out!

Mom and dad had to put a new bin up and it was just finished. Not very often you get to play inside a bin that has never been used! The loved the way it sounded when they talked and they ran back and forth, back and forth and around!

Tyson had to wash his hands and dad set him down, and he held himself up! My little brick on legs!!

Metra afterwards, and another storm.

We drove up to the rims on Black Otter Trail to over look the metra. This is the best way to see the destruction other than from the air. The roof came right off and scattered all over the heights. When you drove by you could see the weird and unanswered question of how the tornado did that. All the trees were taken out of the ground my the roots, but the Bronze statue was not touched. Metal was wrapped around polls, and what building is hit and left alone.

This was a storm moving is while we were headed home. I really like the view and it was a reminder of what mother nature will and can do.

We think that this storm was at Origen when we took them. :)

Fathers Day, the tornado of 2010

Fathers day started out really nice. We just spent the day together, did a little shopping for food and such and then Scott was playing witht he boys when this storm moved in. The first part of it was just a normal flat gray cloud and a little movement in the center. When I went back outside I could see a lot more movement and the center was forming.
This picture is several minutes into the storm, but this is when the worry and questions started. All of our neighbors were in the street doing the same as us, watching and wondering. We all talked and made comments. But it was crazy to be standing and watching this storm come in

This touched down about 2.5 miles by the way the bird flys from our house. I just stood and watched wondering and hoping no one was being hurt while we were watching and taking pictures. I have never seen anythign like this even when I lived in Florida during huricane season. I would take a good old fashion Montana blizzard over this any day!!

I have many more pictures of the entire time, and it took about 40 minutes start to finish. Zane stood in the window watching us and Tyson slept. So I can alway remind him the he can sleep thru anything including a tornado.
During the storm we had a little rain, little wind, and some hail. It got about the size of large marbles. But a few fell that were flat and round, hard to explain, and if I find a picture of them, I will get it posted!

Oh my what a month!

Just a really quick post of how things are in the new digs! We love it! This house is great for all of us! The boys have a lot of room to run and be boys, I have great neighbors, and room to grow! The yard is great, I get to have a little garden (hope to get it in in the next week!) Oh well if I dont this year, I have flowers that the boys helped me with! The most important thing is that Scott enjoys his 12 minute drive from work and to work!! I have been able to take the boys out as well to see dad, and they thought that was great! I have to get some older pictures up of the boys helping and Tyson 1st birthday! Hope this finds everyone well and ready for summer!! :)
